The Valley Symphony Orchestra has lost a great human being, first violinist, and cherished friend. With deepest sympathies, we regret to inform you Dr. Martha Kyle passed away yesterday, May 16, 2018. Many of you may have known Dr. Kyle from her time as a public school orchestra director in McAllen and in Edinburg for 20 years beginning in 1990. She was also a mainstay of the first violin section of the Valley Symphony Orchestra until 2012 and performed with many other ensembles and in recitals in the area. She was also a member of the McAllen Music Club. Martha will be missed by all who knew and respected her...most of all her dear friend, Linda Andrews Sobin. Our deepest condolences go out to you Linda and the entire family, Trevino family and Waterford Gardens Senior Living Communities for giving her the best possible care in her final days.

A 6:00 PM Visitation followed by a 7:00 PM Memorial Service will be held at Kreidler Funeral Home, 314 N. 10th Street, in McAllen, on Friday, May 18, 2018. Manny Gutierrez will provide the meditation and a string quartet of friends, colleagues and former students will provide music. She will be interred in her beloved home state of Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, honor her memory by contributing to the support of the Valley Symphony Orchestra, PO Box 2832, McAllen, TX 78501.  Click on the button below to make a secure donation in Memory of Dr. Martha Kyle.
